Cityworks In The Field - Comparing Mobile Options

Cityworks AM & PM Sessions are the same sessions & content repeated.

Instructors:  John Jarnagin

Attendees will learn efficient workflows for working with Cityworks data in the office and out in the field. Attendees will come to understand how to create and edit service requests, work orders and inspections both in the office and out in the field and recommended best practices along the way. Time will also be spent on how historical field data is displayed, searched and reported against to understand asset health, maintenance and budget/cost information.

Other topics presented in this course, include:

  • Understand key requirements to be met for field crews to see and interact with specific work submitted to each individual staff member.
  • Learn how Cityworks mobile and field software versions run on different mobile devices and smartphones as it relates to field display, work efficiency and data integrity
  • Work with field maps in offline mode to display assets in view and perform maintenance activities out in the field, even while in disconnected mode.
  • Interact with cyclical work order and inspections to maintain efficient maintenance schedules and budget cycles.
  • Add, view, edit attachments or instructions to a work order/inspection from a device camera or other remote network such as Google Drive, while out in the field.
  • Mark work orders and inspections as complete once field work is finished, so other tasks can be completed on those same work orders/inspections, back in the office.
  • Fill out key fields on a work order, or, inspection which will in turn update GIS attribute fields, based on certain triggers/events.
  • Build simple or complex saved searches based on most any parameter to assess progress of maintenance activities, cost, deadlines and other key performance indicators.

GIS Solutions for Managing Impervious Surfaces with EagleView CONNECTExplorer

Instructors:  Christian Stitz

EagleView will be giving a demonstration of a powerful web-based visualization software called CONNECTExplorer to identify and manage impervious surfaces. Combining impervious surface data with property information helps GIS professionals estimate water costs per parcel and the amount of stormwter runoff. This demo will also include advanced GIS applications for CONNECTExplorer.

Introduction to Trimble Terraflex with Direct ESRI Integration -Authorized Trimble Training (CLASS FULL)

Instructor:  Noah Ward - Western Data Systems

  • Hands on session exploring the Trimble Terraflex Mobile Data Collection application with direct ESRI integration utilizing the Trimble Terraflex ArcMap Add-In. New users will benefit from optimizing the data collection workflow through topics such as a brief overview of Trimble Terraflex, working with Terraflex directly from an ESRI environment, and exploring compatibility with ESRI Geodatabases.
  • BYOD: Bring Your Own Device
    • Cell Phone or Tablet running IOS 7 or later/Android 4.x or later/Windows 7/Windows 8/ Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 or later or Trimble Geo 7 / Juno 5 Series / TDC100 Series / Nomad 1050 Series / Yuma 2 and Motion tablets
