ArcGIS Desktop III: GIS Workflows and Analysis - (ESRI 2 days) –  $750

This ESRI course teaches how and when to apply ArcGIS tools to create an efficient workflow that supports GIS analysis. Working with data stored in a geodatabase, you will organize and prepare data for analysis, create geoprocessing models, and work through a challenging analysis project. By the end of the course, you will be able to determine which ArcGIS tools and functions to use in a given situation and apply them to your analyses. The skills taught in this course are applicable to all types of GIS analysis.  GIS analysts, GIS specialists, and other experienced ArcGIS users who want to extend their basic ArcGIS skills in the areas of data creation and editing, geoprocessing models, and GIS analysis.

Building Applications Using the ArcGIS API for Silverlight - (ESRI 2 days) – $750

This ESRI course provides web developers with an introduction to the ArcGIS Server API for Silverlight.  Students learn to leverage sample code and templates to build rich web applications that use a variety of tools and functionality.  Students are also exposed to key resources and documentation useful for Silverlight API application development.  Attendees should be familiar with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server and have introductory knowledge of the Silverlight platform.

ArcGIS Basics - (Pamela Jurney 2 days) - $400

This two-day training course is designed to meet the needs of people who do not have a GIS background but find themselves working increasingly with ESRI ArcGIS software.  In this course, students will learn the basics of operating ArcMap 9.3 and data management within ArcCatalog.  Prior knowledge of ArcMap is not necessary, and classes will be small with individual help available from the instructor.  Students need some experience with internet navigation and Microsoft Excel.  Students will leave the training course with knowledge to access data on their own, to create their own cartographic representations of information, and to trouble-shoot potential problems.

The course is taught by Pamela Jurney of Red Plains Professional.  Pamela has an extensive background in education as well as GIS experience.  She taught secondary mathematics for seven years in the public school system, received a master’s of geography from Oklahoma State University (2006), and has been involved with GIS education for rural schools and tribal and local governments.  She is currently the GIS and IRR Inventory Manager for Red Plains, an Indian-owned civil engineering firm based in Edmond, Oklahoma.
