The National Map (TNM) is one of the primary programs of the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) National Geospatial Program (NGP) and a primary source of GIS related geospatial data within the USGS. There are significant program activities happening at the national level that will impact users at state and local organization levels; data requirements, quality, availability, etc. This presentation will provide you with new information on strategic changes to key geospatial data program activities of the NGP that are relevant to Oklahoma and the nation.

During this demo, Esri will show you how to use ArcGIS Online to create and configure maps that can be accessed in the filed with Collector.

The demo will show Users how to:

Find Places and Get Directions

  • Find places and points of interest around you
  • Get driving directions to places and your features (via your ArcGIS Online Subscription)

Measure

  • Calculate distance and area on top of the map

Enable Location Tracking

  • Periodically report your location

Map Viewing

  • Open bookmarked locations
  • Switch basemaps
  • Turn on/off map layers

Collect and Update Spatial Data

  • Collect new GIS features using the map or GPS
  • Complete intelligent data entry forms specific to your data
  • Attach photos
Bring your own I-OS or Android so you can participate in the Mobile Data Collection.
