Deliver high quality geographic and demographic materials/mapping solutions and presentations for GIS projects with regard to maps, web map solutions and mobile applications.  Demonstrate advanced knowledge of GIS software and technology, and deliverables.  Support education, communication and analytics to internal brokers (clients) and external clients.   Leadership, creative design, problem solving, technology and mapping are essential.  

Key Responsibilities
•Demonstrates internal and external customer service standards consistent with The Venture Way.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing aerial, mapping, photo editing and general graphics related results as needed.
•Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits and finding new solutions
•Extensive use of PhotoShop, InDesign, video editing and related software.
•Supports desk top operations; Mac’s, Dells, iPads, etc. based on client needs
•Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits and finding new solutions
•Work with internal clients to fully understand what the business wants and to produce a clear creative product
•Work with clients to fully understand the needs and characteristics of target customers
•Translate information detailed requirements into engaging, user-centered visual design
•Understand and implement brand values across all creative production
•Support designers to build the final output
•Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, highly organized with strong attention to detail
•Ability to complete short-term projects with tight deadlines
•Ability to complete multiple assignments through effective multi-taking and prioritization
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients
•Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively; understand ideas and information presented in writing and verbally including presentations
•Knowledge of concepts and standards, including development, editing and quality control procedures
•Ability to deliver additional research capabilities to the department and out clients.

Ideal Candidate
•Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geology, or Environmental sciences with GIS emphasis
•Ability to understand the big picture of the organizational and customer requirements
•Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional groups
•1-2 years of Commercial Real Estate experience helpful
•History of successfully training staff members is helpful/required
•History of successfully training staff members is helpful

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with a major or minor in Geography or related field; with training in GIS technology.
•Requires 3 - 5 years of experience.
•Advanced proficiency in ESRI Suite; ArcGIS Desktop and extensions (Business Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst, and 3D Analyst), ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong organizational and analytical skills.
•Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
•Ability to articulate and effectively present GIS information to non-GIS users.
•Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
•Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
•Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply operations such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
•Knowledge of procedural based 3D design software such as ESRI’s CityEngine and/or Rhino a plus
•Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications required
•Knowledge of GIS terms and definitions, real estate terms and definitions, real estate analytical methods required

Produces a variety of high quality geographic and demographic materials for marketing purposes; Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices and procedures proficiently to accomplish analytical work. Supports education, communication, and marketing of capabilities; as well as providing analytical support to both internal and external clients.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Consults with sales professionals to define project requirements, investigating various approaches to attain end results.
•Advises sales professionals and management on available geographic information, analytical and higher end products.
•Produces advanced specialized maps, utilizing geographic and demographic information using programming, database, and graphics skills.
•Adheres to company policy on quality control/assurance.
•Assist with responsibilities of GIS staff, including support for analytical mapping jobs for production; provides support and assistance for extra workload as needed.
•Assists with training and communications efforts for both the team and internal clients.
•Educates internal and external clients about GIS capabilities and resources; seeks end-user/customer input regarding additional geographic services and enhancements to existing services and processes.
•Obtains and maintains accurate geographic market data for the region.
•Extracts demographic and geographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports.
•Maintains library of previously designed material for future use.
•Logs and prioritizes work assignments using proprietary systems.
•Utilizes proprietary mapping tools, templates, standards, and software.
•Fulfills regional manager duties as the need arises.
