The South Central Arc Users Group (SCAUG) is a nonprofit association of professionals using geographic information systems (GIS) and other spatial technologies to solve challenges in both public and private sectors at the regional, state, and local levels. SCAUG is the foremost GIS user group in the South Central United States promoting the effective use of spatial data and information technologies for the understanding and management of GIS.
Workshops, conferences, and a continuously updated, information-packed website are just a few of the reasons why GIS professionals turn to SCAUG. It has become more important than ever to be a part of a wider network of professionals and SCAUG, with members like you around the region, embodies the GIS community. The Executive Board is elected each year by the at-large members and announced at the Annual Conference. The remaining positions are appointed by the Executive Board. All Board Members serve a one-year term except for the Treasurer & ESRI Representative which serve a 2 year term.
