Regional STUDENT APP CONTEST


Are you ready to showcase your GIS skills and win a scholarship? The SCAUG Student App Contest is open starting at noon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. We are excited to see what you can create! Here’s everything you need to know to get started:

Application Process:

  1. Scholarship Application Form: Fill out the form with your details.
  2. Short Essay: Share your thoughts and ideas in a brief essay.
  3. Web App Component: Show off your GIS prowess with a web application.

Important Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: Midnight, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
  • Winner Announcement: March 12, 2025.

Eligibility:

  • Open to students in Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, or Texas.
  • Must be enrolled in an associate, undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program involving GIS/Geography.
  • Provide proof of enrollment (acceptance letter or course registration).

Before You Proceed: Make sure you have all the required documents ready:

  • Proof of Enrollment
  • Short Essay
  • Brief Biography

Accepted file formats: .pdf, .doc, .docx.
