The Columbia Regional Geospatial Service Center, Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, Stephen F. Austin State University, SCAUG, ETUG, Texas View, USDA Forest Service, Texas Forest Service and the Texas Forestry Association are pleased to announce a Geospatial Gathering to be held on the SFASU campus January 26-30, 2010. The conference will bring together GIS professionals, educators, public safety officials, economic development groups and natural resource manager to discuss advancements in: Geospatial Applications and Issues.

Call for Papers

Oral presentations will be limited to 15 (fifteen) minutes followed by 3-5 minutes of questions. Panels and thematic organized sessions are welcome. Please submit a 150-word abstract for paper via email to: dmcdonald@sfasu.edu. Submit abstracts by December 11, 2009. Please express needs for any special equipment.

Posters


The conference also will host a poster competition. Entries will be evaluated and the top three posters will recognized at the Thursday Luncheon. Poster size will be limited to 36” x 48.” Submit poster abstract by December 11, 2009.

Workshops

Technical workshops include Advanced ArcPad, Geocoding in ArcGIS 9.3, Weather Mash-ups and Introduction to Plume Modeling and a GISP certification overview will be held.

Call for Presentations

Poster Competition

Submit your map/poster to be entered into the poster competition at registration. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters.

Vendors

Vendor sponsorship is available at three levels:
  • Platinum ($500) which provides recognition in the conference flyer, a vendor booth, conference registration for one individual and recognition for support of the social.
  • Gold sponsorship ($300) which will provide recognition in the conference flyer, a vendor booth and registration for one individual.
  • Silver sponsorship ($200) which will provide recognition in the conference flyer and one conference registration.
