Matthew developed his first Python workshop for beginners in 2010 and has since refined and taught the workshop numerous times for academic, government, and industry professionals. His company, Attribute Q LLC, was formed in 2012 to carry this work forwards. Additionally, between 2012 and 2014, Matthew supported water science for the nation with Python programming at the US Geological Survey. Projects included: Automating repetitive geoprocessing in the development of a GIS database for tribes in Eastern Oklahoma; Modernizing a spatially stratified random sampling package into Python/ArcGIS for scientists in the nation-wide NAWQA project; Coding a near real-time flood inundation map for federal collaborators; Teaching ArcHydro basics at the national tribal GIS conference in Albuquerque; Helping develop a near real-time evapotranspiration mapping system for highly productive agricultural pockets in California and New Mexico; Plus, various other smaller projects. Today, Matthew is employed at the Oklahoma 7-Eleven corporation where he is using Python for data wrangling and business intelligence.
