    GeoAcuity is currently seeking a Geospatial developer for remote work on multiple projects in the research and government arenas.     As a GIS developer you will be responsible for designing, coding, maintaining, and supporting a wide range of custom GIS web applications and tools within an ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough knowledge of Web application development, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Web Application Builder, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Python, ArcGIS API for JavaScript. Understanding of ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, Enterprise Builder, .NET ESRI add-in development a plus.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Geography, Engineering, Planning, Natural Sciences or equivalent in a related field.
    • Two to four years of experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise / Server and development and implementation of web-based GIS solutions.
    • Two years of programming experience with data structures and algorithms in C++, C#, Java
    • Ability to develop GIS applications using Python, JavaScript, C#, ArcObjects.
    • Proficient with Front-End Web Development – node, npm, javascript, typescript
    • Experience integrating RESTful APIs in GIS Web Application Environment.
    • Experience with python web services and geoprocessing models
    • Familiarity with 3D mesh models, specifically ESRI-based I3S and or Cesium 3D tile formats
    • Experience working with distributed team members
    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work independently

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise server and software administration.
    • Build software components that follow industry-standard modern design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.
    • Create, configure, and administer ArcGIS Online web maps, applications, story maps, dashboards, surveys, and GeoForms.
    • Develop and maintain automated data conversion, processing, and system integration processes utilizing models and scripting.
    • Research and implement new concepts, strategies, or innovative approaches.
    • Work directly with clients to identify GIS requirements; and make recommendations on best practice solutions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required experience below:

    • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in the GIS/Remote Sensing Field.
    •  In-depth knowledge of ESRI ArcPro, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL).
    • Strong familiarity with ESRI Image services a must.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel)
    • Creation of digital mapping/remotely sensed products using various software platforms.
    • Capture, produce, process and analyze data.
    • Create and manipulate databases.
    • Quality Assurance, documentation and providing feedback.
    • Working knowledge of LiDAR classification and DEM creation preferred.
    • Familiarity with Elevation, Transportation, Land Use/Land Cover, Hydrography, Boundaries, Manmade structures, Public Land Survey, Geodetic Control data sets plus.
    • Mentoring, training junior GIS analysts a plus.
    • Terrascan, GeoCue experience a plus.
    • PLTS tool kit experience a plus.
    • Task Management.
    • Problem resolution.
    • Report writing.
    • Collaboration.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
