Life Lessons and ArcGIS
Pamela Jurney, GISP - Project Development Director , Cross Timbers Consulting, LLC
Life happens.  If your job has any kind of geospatial component to it, you know that ArcGIS happens.  Just like life, you can’t argue with ArcGIS, but you can negotiate and learn.  How is map-making like finding the surest way to get the dog to come inside?  Why should you trust people and data only as far as you can throw them?  Why is honesty the best policy?  This presentation is meant to be lighthearted and educational, exploring life lessons and their applications in ArcGIS.

Oil Price and the Oil & Gas industry:  A Victim Of Its Own Success
Scott Highby, Senior Geotech – Continental Resources, Inc.

This presentation looks at the various scales of geopolitics that affect oil/gas prices.  We hope to answer questions such as:  When local gas prices drop below $2.00 a gallon, why do thousands lose their job?  What countries are to blame?  How is the oil and gas industry a victim of its own success?  We will look at the various geopolitical forces around the globe that affect the price of oil, as well as events here at home.  We will talk about the horizontal revolution and the improvements in drilling methods, as well as the lifting of the oil export ban here and in Iran.    We will also talk about the geopolitical players around the globe including Saudi Arabia, Russian, Iran, Iraq, OPEC, as well as the players here in the Americas including Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and North America.

What's New With The Platform
Michael Beavers  - Esri Solution Engineer
WebGIS is constantly transforming. As customer needs evolve and grow, the platform tools that we all use must follow suit in order to meet demand. Behind your firewalls and across the internet, more people are accessing your GIS in different ways and on different devices. Everyone now expects uninterrupted access to your authoritative 2D and 3D information anytime, anywhere. With an ever-increasing suite of Desktop and Configurable Off The Shelf (COTS) platform tools at your  disposal, it’s tough to know exactly what are the best tools and workflows to deploy and  what are the most recent enhancements to the GIS software and apps you already use. During this presentation, Esri will show you what’s new and the enhancements that are available in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and with ArcGIS Online.
