Aaron Anderson will discuss some of the ways GIS is used in the NWS Norman Forecast Office. Particular focus will be on innovations that have come out of the office such as the Damage Path Tool, pioneered during the May 2013 Tornadoes, as well as the Hot Spot Notification Tool, which utilizes the new GOES 16/17 satellites to alert officials to developing wildfires.
