For nearly two decades, Dr. Smilovsky has dedicated himself to advancing the geospatial professions both professionally and academically. With experience spanning various private consulting firms, he has been instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and visually presenting geographic data. Simultaneously, as an academic, his focus on research has significantly contributed to the educational knowledge landscape.
Dr. Smilovsky's life passion revolves around geography, evident in his roles as an energetic public speaker, dedicated teacher, and influential thought leader. He finds joy in sharing successes with others and witnessing their growth. His specific interests within the geospatial domain include the geography of behavior, sustainable and resilient geodesign, pedagogy in geographic science (particularly in online education), and a holistic exploration of geospatial technologies.
A true Geoholic, Dr. S is particularly enamored with innovative GIS tech, embodying a fervor for pushing boundaries in the ever-evolving field.

Chris Zuniga is a passionate GIS/GPS professional dedicated to advancing local and international philanthropy, with a strong focus on connecting students to opportunities for professional growth and community service. Skilled in a wide range of ESRI productivity applications and ArcGIS tools, Chris brings technical expertise combined with real-world experience in the geospatial field.
In addition to his technical proficiency, Chris has a diverse background in content marketing, GIS consulting, public speaking, event coordination, and organizational leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography with a Minor in Business Administration from Texas State University.
